Hello! I’ve never done a blog before, but I have heard from my mentors and strangers on the internet their usefulness in sharing ideas and developing your own. I am interested academically and personally in beer and alcohol, and the many ways that it impacts human society. I plan to use this platform to write reviews of books that address the history of alcohol to show the diverse array of alcohols and their place various cultures. I also hope to showcase the growing field of food/drug/alcohol history and how crucial what we imbibe (or abstain from) is to understanding ourselves, other cultures, and the vast network and history that connects people to drink.
